ABOUT US

My Journey

It started, as the best adventures often do, with a suitcase, a curious eye, and a serious love of beautiful things. It was the year 2000, traveling with Mom around Nepal with a stop in India to tour the Taj Mahal, Rajasthan and especially the magical city of Jaipur. The epicenter of block printing. Where I discovered the focus of the rest of my life, up to now.

Travel has always been my greatest source of inspiration. From the color-drenched street of India, Nepal, Thailand, Mexcio, Guatamala, and Europe...to the sun-soaked, easygoing life of Southern California, I’ve collected little bits of the world along the way—patterns, colors, stories, and the occasional obsession.

Back home in my California studio, those memories have a way of turning into something new. I mix the intricate beauty of classic Indian Mughal motifs with bold, joyful color and a decidedly laid-back California spirit. Think old-world artistry with a little beach-town mischief.

And then the magic travels east.

In my block printing workshops in Jaipur, master artisans bring each design to life using a centuries-old tradition of hand block printing. Printing blocks are carved by hand, one by one, and layered onto cotton with remarkable patience and precision. It’s a slow dance of ink, fabric, hands, and time—and no two pieces ever turn out exactly alike.

From the first sketch to the final print, each collection takes a year to to create, working around the summer monsoon season. We work in small batches, embracing the little variations and happy imperfections that make handmade textiles so special.

The result is a collection that feels personal, not really collected or decorated—but rather pieces with a sense of place, a little wanderlust, and plenty of personality.

Made in India. Inspired everywhere.
And always with a little California sunshine.
